Yesterday we went yardsale-ing and then to a local farm to pick some strawberries. Well ten minutes before we were going to leave I turned the corner to find this.........
I know, precious.....but do I let them sleep or wake them up to hit the sales? Five minutes later we were in the car on our way to a fancy community yardsale where I found the motherload of cute boys clothing for 25 cents a piece! Apparently their boys don't play quite as rough as mine because it was all in perfect condition--especially the jeans--I can't imagine boys who can outgrow a pair of jeans without putting holes in the knees! Of course that meant that Henry fell asleep in the car on the way to the farm so Chris stayed with him while I took David on our berry quest....
His interest in berry picking lasted about ten minutes and then he spotted the farmer's truck and decided he wanted to try and take it for a spin. Luckily he wasn't tall enough to get in but I was able to pick a lot of berries next to the truck while he circled it, trying to find a way up into the back.
We probably didn't get the best of the best strawberries since David kept wanting to run up and down the rows and didn't want to stop in the best patches for me to gather up the goods....Oh well, he did really well all things considered and now he has a budding understanding of where food comes from.....or at least where strawberries come from.....
David gave the berries we picked his stamp of approval though. I found several half-eaten berries in our box--for some reason he only wanted one bite of each berry before adding his contribution to the pile......
And here's a little Henry cuteness for good measure.....this is how he likes to ride these days......
