Nature is for Stringing

The boys are always collecting "nature treasures" so this morning we went out on a bit of a hunt and then put our treasure to good use with an idea I saw here except we used some string and a couple of blunt needles instead of sticks.   Getting dirty and crafting....what could be better than that?

When we finished we hung up our beauties on the back patio--David was really worried that the rainstorm this afternoon would ruin them but I convinced him that if all of the beatings the boys gave them with their sticks right after I hung them didn't knock them down they could probably survive a little rain......

I think they look pretty good--and dare I say--a little Fall-ish?  When it's 90 degrees in October you take what little tidings of seasonal change you can get........
